I think that what I have learned most from President Samuelson is love. I love the way that he treats his wife. I remember just being a freshman and watching him at the devotional with his wife. He always lets her sit first, he always has his hand on her back, he always gently holds her hand, you can just tell the pure love he has for her.
I have been blessed to get to know President Samuelson over the past year. Every time he see's me he calls me by name and asks me how me and my husband are doing. I can tell that he loves me and prays for me. Maybe not me individually, but I know he prays for the students as a whole. He prays for us because he loves us and truly wants us to be happy and successful.
Lastly I know that he loves the Lord. The scripture says, "If you love me, keep my commandments." President Samuelson keeps His commandments.
I am grateful to have President Samuelson as a our President here at BYU. We are all truly blessed to have him as our leader.
